The first ever Rogue Arts Festival took place at Shirely Macey Park in Gibsons, BC and saw an amazing group of visual and performing artists coming together with a dedicated and heartfelt group of organizers, supporters, vendors, and volunteers to fill a much needed gap for a one-site, outdoor multidisciplinary festival on the Sunshine Coast. Everyone jumped on board to make it all happen in every way they could. And while there were all the weathers (sun, rain, oh yeah…and remember that crazy isolated tornado that cause a weeeeeeeeeeee bit of ruckus with the tents?) the people were happy and the vibe was pure togetherness and joy.
We gratefully acknowledge Rogue Fest lives, works, and plays on the ancestral lands of the shíshálh (Sechelt) and skwxwu7mesh (Squamish) peoples.
The Coast Rogue Arts Society has a simple mandate – To increase the well-being of the Sunshine Coast through the arts.
