If only I had Wings to Fly , Jump off the ground and soar to the Sky.

Lots of inspiration for this installation in Europe.

Wings of freedom installation.

This installation will be a free standing structure, approximately 12 feet by 8 feet, constructed from recycled materials and found objects, covered in fabric and strings of lights.

About the Artist – Gail Newman

Arts and Crafts have been a passion in my life. Recycling was always a top priority but more importantly to reduce, reuse, recycle. I’ve made buttons and earrings out of old gumboots.

My last collaborative large public sculpture, with Artist Peter Roy, was in 2006. A 52ft long Salmon sculpture named "Pacifish".The structure was made from local bamboo and covered in old Christmas lights and recycled fabric.
