WE’RE HIRING!!! The 2019 Rogue Arts Festival is looking for a dynamic lover of all things arts and culture to join our amazing team!

Position Title: Marketing and Outreach Coordinator

The Rogue Arts Festival Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will lead all social media campaigns for the festival, maintain and update the festival website using WordPress, send out e-blasts using MailChimp, attend other events to promote the festival, lead the festival distribution campaign, design and lead a cross-promotion campaign, update festival information on external on-line calendars, implement festival signage plan, support the Festival Volunteer Coordinator, and take on additional tasks as required.

This is a full time (40 hrs/week) 16 week contract position starting Monday May 13th. The Rogue Arts Festival takes place in Wilson Creek (Sechelt), BC on the Sunshine Coast from August 23rd – 25th. Applicants will need to be on-site for the bulk of the contract but discussion can happen around that schedule.

The Rogue Arts Festival is looking for someone who: has had experience working in events, has the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people, can work independently and collaboratively (and show proof of this), is dedicated to the goal of the project, has an out-going and professional attitude, is social media savvy, can creatively trouble-shoot, is efficient and effective using computers, is willing to jump into any area that needs assistance in order to keep the ball rolling, and has a high appreciation of arts and culture. Having a valid BC Driver’s License would be an asset.

This is a position funded by Service Canada. Candidates must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment*; and,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Details: $15/hr, 35 hrs/week

Start: May 13, 2019 full time for 16 weeks (until August 3oth)
